I will never forget the day Hurricane Rita decided to come ashore on the coast of Texas. The Wednesday before the storm hit my family and I decided to go through our home to see what was important to bring and what could stay behind. We packed our cars with as much stuff as we could and took one last look at our home not knowing if it would be there when we returned. \r\n\r\nThe hardest thing for me to do was to leave everything that I have known and worked for behind.\r\n\r\nAfter Rita hit the waiting to go home was the worst, because I wanted to see if my house was still there, but if it wasn\'t there I would not be ready for the sudden shock of being homeless.\r\n\r\nWhen we did return home our house was still standing with only two broken windows. We were very lucky. My place of business was complete destroyed during the hurricane.\r\n\r\nMy family and I have recovered from this horrible ordeal and could live the rest of our lives with out another hurricane.
