Hellicane: Poets Respond to Hurricane Katrina

People thought Katrina\r\nwould miss her mark\r\n\r\nWhen she was over\r\nMost people were in difficult positions\r\n\r\nPeople went out to see what damage\r\nShe left behind for them to clean\r\n\r\nA boy lost his home he didn\'t know what to do\r\nwithout his mother, sister, brother, or father\r\n\r\nA woman wouldn\'t have anyone to keep her company\r\nHer husband died of cancer, with flies and people to smell the\r\ndeath of him and others that died as well\r\n\r\nWhy couldn\'t some of the people leave when they had a chance to, instead of 710 people to die for a total?
