Prior to Hurricane Katrina, my husband and I could not remember the exact date of our wedding anniversary. Was it the 28th? Maybe the 29th or the 30th. As my husband was in the Navy, it was rare that we were ever actually together on our anniversary. We celebrated as near to the actual date as possible. Katrina changed that for us. The storm hit on our 7th anniversary, destroying the historic manor in which we were married - Tullis-Tulidano Manor in Biloxi. It also took with it the approximately 600 year old oak tree under which we said our vows.
