The things you take for granted are the small things you can never have back that sting the most. From the tiniest favorite clothing piece, to an entire car, to the memories and new beginnings that were forced upon thousands. Amidst all of the things that happened and the new lessons taught, the most painful might have come a little bit after. I got sent to the Emergency Room for the first time in my life with a stress induced ulcer after passing out after an attack of throwing up blood. It was the first time I was sent to the hospital and amongst the grave things flowing through my mind, I knew all would ultimately be fine, bc after going through Katrina, the world would never be the same and the usually strong emotioned things would be placed within reason.
