Close-up of warped parquet wood flooring buckled upward into peaked, tent-like ridges after flood exposure, revealing damaged subflooring beneath the cracked wooden tiles.

This is what Katrina did to my mother's parquet flooring when the flood waters came into the house. We had between 6 inches and 12 inches of water. The water caused the wood floors to buckle so that sections of the flooring started to look like a mountain range. These floors are being replaced with Pergo flooring.
