Harvilla\'s Pier and Mold Bloom in the lake

A long wooden pier extends over calm lake water toward a covered platform, with a patchy, discolored mold bloom visible spreading across the water's surface near the shoreline.

The pier behind the Havrilla's home at 237 Debbie Drive Slidell, La. North Shore beach. A mold bloom appeared in the lake the summer before Katrina hit.
