The Will to Rebuild Director: Katherine Kennedy Duration: 9:37

College students from New Orleans' universities were scattered to hundreds of other schools last fall after Hurricane Katrina closed their schools. They returned in the spring not only to go to class, but also to help the city clean up and rebuild. This short film shows them and fellow students from around the country working to help rebuild other people's lives in an educational experience they never expected. Some have even given up summer vacations to work on the city's recovery. They reveal their feelings about how special a place New Orleans is, and what keeps them going.
