Floodwaters submerge a residential street, covering vehicles up to their wheel wells, with single-story brick homes and a mailbox surrounded by water under an overcast sky.

This was a picture of the front of my home for Isaac that a neighbor sent me and my husband. We evacuated to Texas and after hearing from family and friends that lost their homes to flood waters, we were left to wonder how bad our house would be when we went home. Luckily the only thing that we lost was my car. Our half of the street didn't get water in the homes, but the other half of the street did. There are currently still people in our neighbor hood and all around Laplace still rebuilding.
