HOUSTON, Tex. (Sept. 23, 2005)--Coast Guard Petty Officer Keivar MacDonald of Sector Ohio Valley in Louisville, KY assists a Coast Guard Disaster Area Relief (DART) in navigating traffic in Huntsville, Texas. The team, which consists of 15 small boats and Coast Guard members from 39 separate units around the country, have have been based in New Orleans as first responders and are now staged in Houston, Texas to perform search and rescue operations in response to Hurricane Rita.
