Description

NEIGHBORHOODS is a series of site-specific, multidisciplinary art installations set up in flood-damaged houses in New Orleans.



The May 2007 installation, NEIGHBORHOODS: 2624 BRADISH PLACE was located in and around the gutted ground

floor of the home of Michelle Levine and Clay Thomas. Michelle is an artist who is currently rebuilding her

house and studio in the Tulane/Gravier neighborhood.



Previous NEIGHBORHOOD projects include:



“NEIGHBORHOODS: 974 JOURDAN AVE”, set up in the house of musician Kathleen Kraus in June 2006.



“NEIGHBORHOODS: 1508 CRES-

CENT STREET” which used the home of artist Belinda Tanno in January 2007.



NEIGHBORHOODS is supported by a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development,

Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, in cooperation with the Louisiana State Arts Council as

administeredby the Arts Council of New Orleans.
