I came back to my house which was relatively untouched. I am now doing almost all the same things I did before, volunteering, gardening, working, riding my bike... but it\'s not the same at all.\r\n\r\nMany people have left and now more are thinking of leaving. People don\'t seem happy even at parties.\r\n\r\nI think about the people who are still pretty much homeless, the LRA which has given only 11 grants in a month to a list of 11,000, the S&WB who can\'t get the water back on in sections of the city because they haven\'t got the money, Entergy asking me to donate to the light fund when they made record profits last year.\r\n\r\nThen I think about my out of town friends who think the whole city should be abandoned...\r\n\r\nAnd I know that in 10 years this city will be prosperous again, but in the meantime many will be permanently damaged. It is depressing.
