After I had finished my high-school, I moved to the U.S. when I was 17.The purpose of my travel was education, so I had learned about UNO and moved to New Orleans just two months before Katrina. It was my first time living alone. It was the summer semester, and the campus was almost empty. I was so lonely and bored, so I had decided to visit my aunt, who lives in Boston. I spent almost two weeks there. While I was in Boston, Katrina hit the city, and it seemed it wasn\'t a good decision to go back to New Orleans for a couple months. I talked to some friends from New Orleans about life after the hurricane and decided to continue my school in Boston. After 6 months Katrina, I returned to New Orleans. I was lucky because I wasn\'t here during the hurricane. Now it is good to be back in New Orleans, although it is not the same New Orleans anymore.
