Katrina Blog Project, Introduction

The Katrina Blog Project was an eleven-day memoir which recounted my personal experiences during the days immediately before and after Hurricane Katrina landed in St. Bernard, Louisiana. I consider the project open-ended, meaning I may add to it from time to time, but the eleven daily postings which ran from August 26 to September 3, 2006 represent the core of this project.\r\n\r\nEach posting is titled according to the day I sought to recount. I tried to relate my thoughts and emotions as I felt them at the time; some of these feelings would change in the months afterward as new information came in. \r\n\r\nNote: For easier navigation, at the end of each entry I have added a link to the next entry, so it is not necessary to come back to this page each time. \r\n
