Photograph of bamboo plant found in home in Meraux. LA, one month after Hurricane Katrina. Image of plant then, next to the plant today. This was the only thing they could salvage from their house.\r\nThe Lindsey family were long-time residents of the Fazendeville community. Prior to Hurricane Katrina, the Lindseys lived in Meraux in St. Bernard Parish. Their house was destroyed by the flooding following Katrina. They now live in Baton Rouge, LA. These photographs were collected in November 2006 during an interview with the Lindsey family at their new home in Baton Rouge.
