MY NAME IS CHANCELLOR MASON . I AM 13 YEARS OLD . ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO HURRICANE KATRINA MADE LANDFALL AND CHANGED ALOT OF PEOPLE LIFE. I STAYED IN THE HURRICANE WE DIDN\'T EVACUATE . WE WENT TO A ELEMENTRY SCHOOL IN GULFPORT MISSISSIPPI CALLED BEL-AIRE ELEMENTRY. ALOT OF PEPES WERE THERE. THE HURRICANE LAND FALL THAT NEXT MORNING. KATRINA DESTROYED ALMOST EVERY PIECE OF THE SCHOOL AROUND ME BUT THE BUILDING I WAS IN. THE TIN OFF THE ROOF CAME OFF AND THE WATER WAS COMING IN THE 6TH GRADE HALLWAY BUT WE WERE OK.\r\nAFTER 2 DAYS WE DECIED TO GO HOME. THE WIND WAS STILL HOWALING. A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE HOMELESS. WHEN WE GOT THERE THE HURRICANE DEMOLISHED HALF OF OUR ROOF AND THE SIDE OF OUR HOME. A PECAN TREE FELL ON OUR SECOND CAR IN OUR BIG BACK YARD.\r\nTHE HOUSE WAS RUINED AND WE WERE HEADING TO FLORIDA THE NEXT DAY.
