Notable recipes from the Los Islenos (Canary Islanders) Cookbook, comments by Dorothy Benge:\r\n\r\nCaldo (Margie Menesses Molero), pg. 135\r\nCaldo is a traditional Spanish-style stew. Dot used this recipe and won first place at the festival in 2004, and second place in 2003. Her own caldo recipe is in this cookbook, but prefers the Molero recipe instead.\r\n
