I have read about many of the amazing accomplishments that have been put in to help rebuild the devastation caused by Katrina. Fire fighters, Police Officers, the military, etc have all rose to the occasion to help fix the infrastructure in that region. I wish, however, that the media would try to focus on the rebuilding efforts as they did with the destruction. If the media stayed on the story, other people might be more compelled to help fix the situation. I know that more money is needed in every facet of the rebuilding process, and if more people donated, money things would be able to be done faster. I think that if a foundation, like HDMB, had advertisements or commercials where people could send money, clothes, food, or any other form of support it would help tremendously. \r\n\r\nOf the states affected most by the hurricane, I think, New Orleans needs the most help. Many areas of the state were in bad condition before Katrina. Rebuilding, all the states, is not finished when all the houses and people return. It should be a continual effort that continues for a long time. I hope that in the future people will be able to look back on these events and not discuss how tragic they were, but instead how our nation came together, regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender to accomplish one goal. \r\n
