Hellicane: Poets Respond to Hurricane Katrina

It might hurt today\r\nBut the pain will go away\r\nAnd for now all might seem lost\r\nBut a fighter always finds the way\r\n\r\nEven when your back is against the wall\r\nChained and tormented, beyond belief!\r\nTake what God\'s given you and yell\r\nJESUS IS MY RELIEF!\r\n\r\nClearly it might seem\r\nLike you are crawling in the dust\r\nDown for the count, strike out, and thrown overboard\r\nA bad luck sign\r\n\r\nBut you keep coming back\r\nSaying I have Jesus\r\nAnd then you give\r\nThe sky a kiss!\r\n\r\nYes it hurts, and the pain is deep\r\nBut I see your face is etched with determination\r\nAnd besides, the step-down to hell is deep\r\n\r\nThank God I\'m still alive down in New Orleans
