It was my mom, my brother, my two sisters, and I and we went with the rest of my mom\'s family up to a friend of theirs dad\'s house in Mississippi. The plan was to get out of the away of Katrina\'s path, but We unfortunately did not. Katrina wind up going right throught where we were staying. We were left with no power, no running water, only deer sausage to eat and the closest supermarket, gas station, etc. was about thirty - forty miles away from us. We were there for 3 weeks. It hurt me to see my family go through such a hard time and i hope none of them ever have to experience anything like this ever again. But if there\'s one positive thing that came out of this...it is that this whole experience with going through Katrina and all just brought us closer together as a family.
