My family and I evacuated on my 14th birthday, August 27th 2005. It was early in the morning, i remember driving to Independance to family\'s house. The 45 minute drive took us from 7am until noon. When we got to the house in Independance, my family had cookies baked for my birthday. I had forgotten it was even my birthday because of the stress of evacuating.
