Fortunately, I was not greatly affected by Katrina since I lived on the Northshore at the time, but I will still never forget. We evacuated to family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The images that I saw on the television that day will forever be burned in my mind. For most people, it is the horror stories that will haunt them until this day, but not for me. What I remember the most, is the good and charity that the event brought out in people. Upon returning to Madisonville, LA, my father\'s boss from Lafayette delivered a whole trailer of non-perishables and supplies for us to distribute to our neighbors who had been hit by the flood waters of the Tchefuncte. I like to remember that that one thing, helped people survive a couple more days.
