After hurricanes Katrina and Rita my sister Amanda\'s apartment on Annunciation was destroyed. Though it was on the second floor of their building and the exterior didn\'t flood. The roof had been damaged during Katrina and received significant water damage from the rain from Rita. She thought she had no reason to return to the city and took an apartment in Boise, Idaho. After living in Boise for one year she came back with the rest of my family to visit my other sister that resides in New Orleans for the Thanksgiving of 2006. That trip made her realize that though her items may have been destroyed and it was uncertain how the city would return, that it was the place that she had fallen in love with.
