I moved to New Orleans rather recently, for college, but am original from St. Martinville, La, a small town outside of Lafayette. Katrina did\'t do much damage to the town; the power may have gone out for a few days, but that\'s about it. As a matter of fact, a week are two after the storm, everything had, for the most part, gone back to normal, at least for me it did. In all honesty, I did\'t think of New Orleans much during that time. I mean, I\'d seen what was going on on the news, but it did\'t really affect me until we got a slew of transfer students into my High School. All of which were from the Greater New Orleans area. The thing that struck me, impressed me about these kids were their overall positive attitude and good nature, not to mention humble beyond belief. In the mist of chaos, they seemed to hold it all together. They just did their best to continue their high school years. Some dated around and others join the football team. It was truly inspirational and made me reassess the things I thought were important. In the end, I guess that\'s why I decide to move here. This city now inspires me to persevere, to get back on that proverbial horse.\r\n\r\nAnd that\'s all I\'ve got to say about that.
