I am 21 now and Katrina hit when I was fifteen. I was living on the north shore at the time, getting ready to begin high school at Ponchatoula High school. Our house didn\'t take much damage, aside from the torn shingles and miserable two weeks without electricity. Despite the difficulties, and profuse amounts of sweat, those two weeks were a period in which my family bonded like never before.
