Generally I try to avoid watching the news because all they seem to do is emphasise tragedy and leave out happier news, but I somehow found myself tuning in during Katrina. And, as expected, they hammered in the death and loss of property. I felt helpless. People were still stranded in the city. Those who got out of the city lost contact with family and friends. Parents didn\'t know where their children were. But I also felt outraged. The media was talking for days and days and days about how people were suffering. The whole thing shouldn\'t have lasted so long. The more time CNN spent talking about the hurricane, the more I felt the government should be stepping in already and solving these problems.
