The Saturday before the storm my family and I got our stuff and left for Dallas, Texas. We stayed with family members for a few days but it was miserable. We then stayed at a hotel for a week and we started to worry about money so we had to leave to Shreveport to stay in a shelter and be with the rest of our family from New Orleans. \r\n \r\n It was my senior year and I thought things couldn\'t get worst but they did. About a week later I found out I was pregnant. What was I going to do? How was I suppose to tell my mom? I had millions of questions and no answers. Well I called my boyfriend and told him to come get me and another journey began. I left to Galveston, Texas with him. Rita was now coming and it was coming the direction I\'m in so we have to evacuate once again. We leave for Mississippi, that ride seemed like it would never end, and we stay there until it was time to return home. We returned on September 15. I got a job a couple of days after that and started school a couple of weeks after.\r\n \r\n Katrina was one of the hardest times I ever went through emotionally. My family wasn\'t speaking to me and even though we didn\'t loose anything in the storm it still felt like I had nothing. I hope to never have to go through another hurricane that not only destroyed cities, but it also destroyed my heart and many others.
