When I Arrived\r\n\r\n I arrived in New Orleans last year two days before the hurricane. I came at the time when everybody was leaving. I was, like all other people at the airport, shocked when I heard the news. I called my friend to pick me up and leave the city. He came after hours of waiting. Even though he was late, I was so happy that he came. We evacuated to Houston. It was a long and exhausting trip. In average traffic the trip takes around five hours, but it took us fifteen hours because of the traffic. It wasn\'t easy to book a hotel, but we were lucky that the embassy of Saudi Arabia already booked a room for each student. We checked into the hotel, and went to bed as soon as we saw it. I had never slept as much as that night before. I stayed in Houston four months. Then, I went to Baton Rouge, and came back to New Orleans last summer 2006 which was my first semester at the University of New Orleans.\r\n
