What people need to understand about the aftermath of Katrina is that people still don\'t know where other people are. Telephone service, particularly cell phones, isn\'t working well. Even if you can find a phone that works, people aren\'t living anywhere around here for now. Communication like the above message is being used all over the hurricane battered areas in attempts to connect people to each other.\n\nThis image also has an interesting sidebar to it - I placed this sign on the house in front of Robert\'s apartment hoping his landlord would see it and contact him. There was no other way to find people. I thought this primitive form of communication would be effective in getting the word through. The landlord called him a few days later after seeing this sign. Robert also heard from the neighbors next door to him in image 1010071.
