I didnt go through Katrina, as I was in Florida but I came afterwards with my chruch youth group on a mission trip. We helped lots of people, and in doing so we all got to see the devestation Katrina had left behind and the effects on peoples lives. It was an experience I will never forget. We were helping on woman with her house when we found some pieces of jewerly, it turned out they were rings her husband had bought for her after the birth of each of her children. She had though them lost but we were able to give her back some of what she had lost.
