I lived in Lakeview when Katrina devastated New Olreans. My Father and I taveled by boat to our house that was still under 6 feet of water. I had to kick out a window to enter my house because the doors were swollen with water.

When entering my home I realized everything was destroyed with no hope of rescuing anything. The rooms looked like all my stuff was put into a blender with black mud and thrown around the house. I will never forget the burning smell of the toxic flood water that filled my home.
